Taylor & Mathis has commenced construction near Pensacola, FL on 349,930 SF build-to-suit distribution center for Buffalo Rock Company. The project is located on a 47.3-acre site at the I-10/Hwy 87 interchange in Milton (Santa Rosa County), FL, approximately 15 miles northeast of downtown Pensacola.
Founded in 1901, Birmingham, AL-based Buffalo Rock is the nation’s largest privately-held Pepsi® and Keurig Dr Pepper® distributor, and also provides fountain and coffee services
and beverage and snack vending services for dozens of other top U.S. brands. The company distributes and sells its brands throughout Alabama, parts of Georgia and the panhandle of Florida. Buffalo Rock signed a 20-year lease for the property.
The state-of-the-art project will feature a cross-dock warehouse with painted site-cast concrete walls, punched-opening windows, 36′ minimum clear height, ESFR sprinkler system, LED lighting and 63 dock doors. Site improvements will include 338 automobile parking spaces, 321 trailer parking spaces and two truck courts ranging from 185′ to 385′ in depth. The project is expected to be completed and ready for occupancy by Buffalo Rock in 4Q 2025.
