Taylor & Mathis is partnering with Clarion’s Lyon Industrial Trust to develop a new 502,482 SF distribution facility in Austell, GA. The project, called Intermodal Logistics Center, will be located on a 46-acre site adjacent to Norfolk Southern’s John C. Whitaker Intermodal Terminal.
Target Container, a subsidiary of Pratt Industries, has a signed a lease for 409,000 SF in the project for a new corrugating facility. Pratt is America’s fifth largest corrugated packaging company and the world’s largest, privately-held 100% recycled paper and packaging company.
Construction on the $32.9 million project will begin immediately with an expected delivery in March 2021. Milton A. Dortch of Stowers & Company represented Taylor & Mathis in the purchase of the site from the City of Austell.
